Day 6. Photo Challenge. "Hat"

I love hats of all kinds. Fedoras, cowboy hats, beanies, straw hats, trucker hats, ball caps, glamorous oversize sun hats, extravagant hats of the Kentucky Derby, the police hats favored by glam rock bands of the 80s, etc, etc...

Hats add character to every outfit. I pretty much love any outfit people have on when it's topped with a good hat. xoxo

Day 4. Photo A Day "Close-up"

I chose this silver dollar for my close up photo challenge. It's something I have from the year I was born, and my birthday is this month ;) Ha ha ha! I'm such a narcissist. XO

Day 3. Photo A Day. "On Your Plate"

I definitely have my "plate full" with this month's move. I have accumulated more stuff in the 7 years I've lived in this apartment than I thought was possible. Even with semi-annual "toss everything" binges I still have a lot to sort through. I'm a huge fan of fresh starts so I'm trying to transfer as little as possible to my new apartment. I'll keep you posted!

Day 2. Photo Challenge. "Empty"

Day 2 of the June photo challenge is an empty Patron bottle and shot glass. If you'll notice the bills sitting behind it you may have an idea why I chose this as my pic of the day. Ha ha!

I love this stuff so much I'll give you a bonus pic taken with Instagram. Enjoy!

So deserted and enchanting.

Photo A Day June

Here is the list for June's Photo A Day Challenge! I'm doing this on Instagram (@apocalypseonhold), but I'll be posting them on here as well.

Hello June!

It's finally here! June 1st opens by giving us a sweet start with National Donut Day. I took the opportunity to celebrate at the place down the street and let me tell you, they backed up their name as "Best Do-nut". They were literally the best donuts I've ever had from anywhere. Light as air, they were amazing. If you are ever visiting Nashville and want to take a detour north to the small town of Gallatin, you wont regret it. They are that good.

June also brings the Summer Solstice a.k.a the longest day of the year and we can all use as much daylight as possible these days. Longer days means time to lounge by the pool even on work days, which makes for cheery dispositions.

And while America's most famous blonde Marilyn Monroe gets to open the month with her birthday, I get to close it out at the end of the month (technically the 29th, but I can party for  two days)! Looking forward to all June has to offer: a new apartment and new jobs to name a couple. I'll keep you posted. Until then, enjoy the sun!

Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe!
